- Christian was good friends with the late River Phoenix. After his death, Christian won roles in Interview With A Vampire and The Crow. He was the interviewer in Vampire but decided to turn down the role of Eric Draven in The Crow, which later led to the early death of actor Brandon Lee.
- Christian sold his house in Hollywood Hills to toolboy Tim Allen in 1999.
