- Melissa Joan Hart wanted Elijah to co-star with her in Drive Me Crazy, believing it would be less pressure for her to act with Elijah. Directors thought he looked too young next to her so they gave to part to Adrien Grenier.
- As of January, 2002, Elijah lives in the guest house behind his mother.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (2001)
When auditions began for Lord Of The Rings, Elijah was busy filming The Faculty but he wanted more than anything to audition for the movie. So, he discussed the issue with a director friend and the two taped an audition tape and sent it to be viewed.
